Christmas Writing Competition
Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!
Wait… what?! It’s not even Halloween yet!
True but now is the time to put your Christmas stocking on your head and get your brain into Angel gear to enter FAWQ’s Inaugral Christmas Writing Competition.
With THREE prizes of $100 up for grabs, you could have a very Happy Xmas indeed!
We want to hear your Christmas-related Flash Fiction, Short Story and/or Poem – your story or poem can be any genre as long as Christmas has some relevance.
Submissions are due by midnight, 15 November. Email them to editor@nullfawq.com.au.
All accepted submissions will be published in the Dec/Jan issue of Scope due out on 1 Dec.
Judging is by your peers. Each entry will be published anonymously. Readers of Scope then have until 15 December to vote for their favourite Flash Fiction, Short Story and/or Poem.
The Flash Fiction, Short Story and Poem with the most votes in their category are deemed the winners and will receive $100 each. Winners will receive their prize by bank transfer by Friday, 20 December.
The winning entries will be republished in Scope Feb/March issue 2025, along with name and profile of the writer.
Get the bells jingling and the carolers singing! Good luck!
